Who say renovations are not easy? I was introduced to Jason by my Property Manager. Jason and his fantastic team project-managed the renovation of my unit and it was completed within budget. Jason is not only an experienced builder, who understands the intricate strata compliance, but also has a good sense of interior design. He made suggestions to improve my unit, including a functional kitchen design and bathroom, increase storage space and colour scheme. Jason communicates well and frequently updated me on the progress and the next step in the project. What I like about Jason is, he does not dominate my decisions, he would patiently explain what works and what don't. I was thrilled when my unit was completed, it was completely transformed. In short, my unit was modernised and as good or even better than the brand new units, as I know the quality of the materials, fittings and tradesmen used by Jason. When my mum's garage ceiling fell, I called Jason and he immediately organised his team to assess the damage. The best thing about Jason and his team is, they are a one-stop shop. The ceiling was repaired and painted, all by the JSR team within a week. No job is too small for JSR Builders. Jason takes the stress out of renovation for me. To Richard, Jason, George and all their friendly crew – thank you for renovating my unit! JSR came as a recommendation from my property manager. After reading other reviews on their professional experience, I was convinced they were the right builder for me. As a full time worker, I had no extra time to research bathroom and kitchen tiles, colour schemes, painting, select fixtures, appliances and look for reliable tradespeople from scratch. JSR took care of all of that. I liked that they are a family business, which meant they would only hire the right people for the right job. They were flexible in making changes before anything was done. The project managers were friendly, easy-going and understood my attention to detail. From speaking with them, you can tell they were experienced with many different types of clients. My unit needed a full renovation and the proposed fixtures and appliances were all of high quality. When I required additional changes to the BIRs, they were able to accommodate that as well. My old kitchen was cramped, with no space for a microwave. JSR redesigned the kitchen in the small rectangular space so that it included new floor-to-ceiling cupboards/ large pantry, a dishwasher and wall oven! When the major works were completed and the carpet was laid, I was wowed by what I saw. I could not recognise the unit. The renovation process was efficient and completed like clockwork. In fact, the longest process was waiting for approval from the Body Corp. I highly recommend JSR, as it is important to support high quality family businesses. Sam, Jason and Richard are very personable gentleman and accomplished renovators and builders. As a Property Manager, I manage quite a number of renovations, from minor painting and carpeting type work, through to major upgrades of properties. JSR Builders have done most of our renovations, prices ranging from $2000 to $140,000 plus. As most would agree, renovations often become nightmare stories. We wanted to keep the unique 'Art Deco' feel of the house but we were also after a fairly modern and really practical bathroom that would be used (and sometimes abused) by our young family. JSR Builders managed to deliver just that!

JSR Builders recently completely renovated our investment unit and we are very satisfied with the result. They installed new bathroom, kitchen and laundry including appliances and fittings. The unit was also tiled, carpeted and painted. The work was completed on time with no cost variations and their trades people kept to construction schedule and were of a high standard. The unit was relet on the first open house and we achieved approximately a 40% increase in rent. Should we consider selling in the future the renovation has substantially increased the capital value.
